2011 Season Schedule Announced
The Breakers’ 2011 Schedule has been released! With games against the Portland Shockwave, Modesto Maniax, Tucson Monsoon, and the California Quake, this season pits the Breakers against some new teams as well as old rivals. The Breakers Welcome Their New Head Coach,
Danianke “Knocc” Smith
Coach Knocc comes to the Breakers from Long Beach Poly High School, where he has served as the Varsity Defensive Line Coach since 2006. He is proud to have coached Kenny Rowe, Oregon Ducks defensive end, Jurrell Casey, USC Trojans defensive tackle, Iuta Tepa, UCLA Bruins defensive end, and Juwuan Brown, University of Southern Oregon defensive tackle.
His impressive resume also includes coaching and training at the USC Trojan Football Camps, the DeBartolo Sports University High School Football Camps, and the Nike / Sparq Training Camps. In 2005, he served as the Defensive Coordinator of Snoop Dogg’s Diamond Bar Raiders, a Junior Pee Wee team in Diamond Bar, California. And from 1997-2003, he coached a junior football team, the Bellevue Bears.
Coach Knocc graduated from the University of Washington in Seattle in 1993. As a member of the Washington Huskies Football Team, he made three Rose Bowl appearances and competed as a member of the 1991 National Championship, Hall of Fame team.

Movin’ On Up
This year, the Breakers will compete in their first season as a Tier I team in the Pacific West division of the Independent Women’s Football League (IWFL). The Breakers are proud of this new designation and look forward to an exciting and highly competitive season.
Volunteer Opportunities
The Southern California Breakers are always looking for volunteers to assist with game day operations for the 2011 season.
Available positions include:

* Statisticians
* Ticket Sales
* Chain Gang
* Videographers
* National Anthem Singers
* Merchandise Sales
* Concessions Operation
* Half-Time Entertainment
Volunteers receive:

* Invitations to after parties and End-of-Year Banquet
* A Place in the Breakers Family
