About Us
The Southern California Breakers is a women's full contact football team participating in the Pacific Southwest Division of the Independent Women's Football League. Based in Orange County we represent the residents of Orange, Los Angeles, Riverside, San Bernardino and San Diego counties. The IWFL currently has over 1600 women playing for over 41 teams across the United States.
The Breakers are made up of a group of talented female athletes whose unrivaled commitment has formed the grand team we are today. Our dedicated coaching staff has made us students of the game of football and our dedication and competitive nature has given us the drive to master it. We learn something new everytime we step onto the field. The support from family, friends and the public has been phenomenal and it continues to grow. We look forward to the learning experiences ahead of us and the growth of our team in the future.
The Breakers completed the 2008 season with a record of 4 wins and 4 losses while outscoring the opposition 140 - 105 against the New Mexico Menace, Tucson Monsoon, Las Vegas Showgirlz and California Quake.
